A friend of mine has just started - dundunDUN! - a Blackadder II fanfic. And I can tell you, seeing how she's a professional writer, it is a thing of beauty. So I thought I'd link it here for anyone who's interested. :)
Although you should all take a look! You won't regret it.
Hello people. This is my first post in this community. Awaiting for the premiere of Mr Bean's Holiday, i started searching the web for some material about Rowan Atkinson. I've been a fan of his for such a long time, ever since the period of his first movie with Bean in '97. It must be around 8 years i think. Fell in love with his talent and, oddly enough to some people, with him as well. Strip him of his Mr. Bean character and Rowan is an interesting to look at character himself. He has aged quite nicely and i prefere him now than in his youth days, even though he was really hot as Lord Blackadder in the 2nd season :) Anyway, enough with the intro. I've made 20 icons, some using stills from "Keeping Mum", and some using some other pictures with him from different events (some taken from this community) + one with his as Johnny English. Hope you like them, comments are more than welcomed.
Don't hotlink though and give a little credit if you borrow something. This said, away with the icons:
Getty Images is basically an Atkinson picture goldmine. They have about 3 pages of promotional pictures for the new Mr. Bean movie, some of which really crack me up. They also have other pictures from premieres that I didn't even know he attended. Here are some of the ones that most amused me or pleased me aesthetically. Mostly the former. They're pretty large, so watch out if you have dial-up.
If you go to the Getty Images website and type in "Rowan Atkinson", there will be a metric ton of pictures that pop up, and most of them are pretty recent. I suggest it if you are bored and in the mood.
I know Rowan's part in this movie was posted on YouTube and subsequently linked here last month, but it's, you know, in YouTube quality. So I thought I'd post some better-qual caps. (Nothing better to do, what?)
LOLOLOL. I couldn't watch anymore after they dragged the kids in and introduced him as "Mr. Bean". The reporter in a Bean suit with a bear was bad enough. You are free to tell me what I missed, if you are so inclined. On the plus side....YAY HE'S DOING INTERVIEWS! I really wish this movie wasn't coming out in the U.S. until September.
Originally posted by an anonymous commenter in rowan_daily, the community that doesn't have an icon of Rowan in a leather speedo. Shame.
Lastly, I need to start posting here every two days as in times past.
Some kind stranger has uploaded a humor documentary starring Rowan Atkinson onto youtube, and I thought it would be nice to share it with you guys. He discusses the whys behind why physical/visual humor is funny, and it's kind of amazing. Through the "character" of "Kevin", he acts out the types of scenes he describes, and also narrates through a stereotypical documentary scholar/narrator "character". That in itself basically made me LOL my head off. (As you watch, I hope the reasons behind my placement of quotes shall become clear.) This thing amused me for so many reasons.
Mr. Atkinson would like for me to bring to your attention the existence of this collection of the most Keeping Mumicon fodder pictures I have seen in one place. They are all quite huge, and many feature him, as well as his beautiful jumpers. I think this picture might be my favorite, though.
That's all. Lord help me once I actually see the movie. I'm telling you.
